PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle a mirror 8 by preventing the mirror 8 from being removed even when a container main body 1 and a lid 2 are separated from each other. SOLUTION: This compact container consists of the container main body 1 and the lid 2 fitted to the container main body 1. A mirror housing part 13 provided at the lid 2 has a mirror exposing window 14 formed on a side opposing the container main body 1 when the lid 2 is closed. At one side surface of the lid 2, an insertion port 15 is formed, a housing part side projecting part 18 whose length L1 in the height direction is designated to be shorter than a length L2 in the height direction L2 of both of the side faces 17 orthogonal to the insertion port 15 is formed, and a mirror frame 9 to be housed in the housing part 13 is provided to incorporate the mirror 8 in the mirror frame 9. On both of the side surfaces of the mirror frame 8, guide projection pieces 11 slidable with respect to both of the side surfaces 17 orthogonal to the insertion port 15 are formed. The guide projection pieces 11 keep a thickness L3 for a part obtained by extracting the length L1 in the height direction of the housing part side projecting part 18 from the length L1 in the height direction of both of the side faces 17. On a surface which is a side surface on a side forming the guide projection pieces 11 and which is other than the guide projection pieces 11, frame side projection parts 12 catching the projecting part 18 with each other are formed.
