<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for forming an inkjet record receiving layer, by which a coated region of a disk having the annular coated region is coated with a coating liquid into a smooth coating film of uniform thickness without causing creases or the like on the surface and is dried maintaining smoothness. <P>SOLUTION: The disk D is mounted on a rotating table 15 of a coating film forming portion 11, and recessed grooves are formed on the inner peripheral side and outer peripheral side edge of a receiving layer forming region of a printed surface by a cutting means being relatively rotated. The recessed grooves are coated with a water-borne coating liquid by recessed groove coating nozzles to eliminate air. The water-borne coating liquid is applied on a printed surface between the recessed grooves of the disk D with a plurality of nozzles of a feeding means to form a coating film. The coated disk D is irradiated with ultrasonic microvibration generated from a vibration generator of a vibration means to be flattened. The disk D is mounted on a flat heater 34 of a drying portion 12 and dried by applying temperature gradient from inside to outside by a first, second, and third heaters. The disk D is gradually dried from inside to outside. The coating film is dried, and an ink receiving layer of uniform thickness is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
