<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive in which the efficiency of a motor is enhanced inexpensively while ensuring safety of the motor drive, and mounting space can be ensured. <P>SOLUTION: A fuse resistor 40 is connected with a wiring path from a battery 30 to an inverter circuit 14, and an overcurrent detection circuit 26 outputs a stop signal to a control circuit 20 when a current flowing through the fuse resistor 40 exceeds a predetermined level.
