<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machine for a sheet-like work which reduces installation area and facilitates its control. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam machine 50 is equipped with a Y table 5 that is freely movable in the XY planar direction vertically crossing a laser beam emitted from an fθlens 34, a supply reel 11 that holds a supply roll 40 on which a sheet-like work w is wound and that freely supplies the sheet-like work w, and a take-up reel 12 that holds a winding roll 41 on which a machined sheet-like work w is wound and that freely takes up the sheet like work. At the time of machining, the sheet-like work w is fixed that is in the machining area on the movable table 5, with a laser beam emitted while the movable table 5 is moved relatively to the laser beam; thus, the sheet-like work w in the machining area is machined.
