<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit system for a vehicle capable of controlling an illumination light amount of an additional lighting unit to a desired light amount in response to the traveling condition of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting unit system 10 is provided with the additional lighting units 4, 5 for illuminating a front side of the vehicle; a control means 13 for variably controlling the light amounts of the additional lighting units 4, 5; a steering angle detection means 11 for detecting a steering angle of a steering; and a vehicle speed detection means 12 for detecting the vehicle speed. The control means 13 increases the light amount in response to increase of the steering angle detected by the steering angle detection means 11 and reduces the light amount in response to reduction of the steering angle. Further, the control means 13 determines a lighting starting steering angle for starting lighting of the additional lighting units 4, 5 in response to the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed detection means 12 and starts control of the light amount of the additional lighting units 4, 5 when the steering angle detected by the steering angle detection means 11 becomes the lighting starting steering angle or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
