PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise generation at the time of lighting a xenon lamp by simple constitution. SOLUTION: A photodetector 29 and an LED 28 are arranged on the plane 27A of a holding plate 27, and the holding plate 27 is supported so as to be interposed inside the emitted light optical path of the xenon lamp. At the time of lighting the xenon lamp, a motor 30 is rotated by the control of a motor control circuit 31 and the holding plate 27 is projected into the emitted light optical path so that the plane 27A faces the xenon lamp. When the photodetector 29 detects the emitted light of the xenon lamp, the motor 30 is rotated by the control of a motor control board 31 and the holding plate 27 is withdrawn from the emitted light optical path of the xenon lamp.
