PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the whole body of an electric reel from being enlarged. SOLUTION: The reel body 2 of the electric reel has the first side plate 16, the second side plate 17, and the first cover member 14 and the second cover member 15 covering both the sides of the first side plate 16 and the second side plate 17, respectively. A protruded portion 27 for mounting the end portion side of a motor 4 is formed in the first side plate in an outward protruded state, and the third cover member 28 for covering the protruded portion of the output shaft 30 of the motor 4 is mounted on the first cover member 14 side outside of the protruded portion 27.
