<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform transition between a slip mode and a normal operation mode. <P>SOLUTION: The control device for the vehicle starts the processing from the first entry point when the power is turned on, and performs a main processing (step S2) controlling a control target apparatus in the normal operation mode. After it is detected that an ignition switch is switched to OFF (step S3), the first processing (step S4 to step S7) which transits the operation mode to a sleep mode is performed.
