PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display separating type switch capable of simultaneously satisfying visibility and operability, and promoting safe driving. SOLUTION: The display separating type switch includes a display portion 1 securely disposed at a specified part that can be viewed from a driver seated in a driver's seat, and having a plurality of information indicating portions 1a to 1c for indicating different information; and an operating portion 2 independent from the display portion, securely disposed in a range that can be reached from the driver, and having a plurality of operating switch portions 2a to 2c for respectively indication-controlling the plurality of the information indication portions. The layout of the plurality of information indication portions 1a to 1c is made to be equivalent to the layout of the plurality of operating switch portions 2a to 2c for respectively indication-controlling the plurality of information instructing portions.
