PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural film intended for reducing such problems that rapid temperature rise in a greenhouse or a tunnel especially from late spring to summer causes hot humid damage to crops and worsening of working environment of farmers, and to provide a spreading method using the film. SOLUTION: This agricultural film comprises a film having straight light transmittivity of an initial film of≥80% and straight light transmittivity after the lapse of 6 months under an outdoor exposure condition of≤70% and becoming from transparent to white after the lapse of prescribed time. The agricultural film is preferably a whitening coating film obtained by forming a coating film which contains inorganic fine particles and a resin binder on a surface, which becomes outside at the time of spreading the film, of a base film made of a thermoplastic resin film.
