PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device capable of holding an imaging head on an optional imaging position without occupying a desk and accurately grasping an imaging range corresponding the optional imaging position. SOLUTION: The imaging head 2 is set on an imaging position by attaching an attaching member 3 to a cover part 5a of a PC 5. Thereby the imaging head 2 can be set on the imaging position without occupying the surface of the desk. An imaging area on the imaging position is projected to the surface of the desk as a regulated rectangular frame image S by corrected frame light F on the basis of the positional information of the imaging head 2 detected by using the loci 70a, 71a of two slit beams.
