PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery terminal which does not have the chatter of a bracket, has good manufacturing nature of a battery terminal body, and further assures mounting at a battery post. SOLUTION: A bracket for constituting the clamping means 23 of the battery terminal 21 includes an upper bracket 34 mounted from above a pair of clamping parts 25, 25 and a lower bracket 35 mounted from below the pair of the clamping parts 25, 25. A taper 39 which slidably contacts the upper ends 41 of the pair of the clamping parts 25, 25 is formed at the upper bracket 34, and a taper 45 which slidably contacts lower ends 47 of the pair of the clamping parts 25, 25 is formed at the lower bracket 35.
