PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the occurrence of cavitation in a thermostat 1 comprising movable parts 5, 6, 7, and 8 installed in a refrigerant passage, incorporating a thermally expanding body 11 thermally expanded or contracted due to a variation in the temperature of cooling water, and moving by the thermal expansion and contraction of the thermally expanding body 11 and open/close valves 9 and 13 supported on the movable parts and opening/closing the refrigerant passage.
