<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently perform appropriate image processing on image data stored in a storage means of an image processing apparatus and to distribute the image data to an external device. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing system of the present invention, an image format conversion section 114 performs image processing, such as resolution conversion processing, filter processing, γ correction processing, halftone processing or the like on image data stored in an HDD 105 that is an image data storage means, so that the image data are compatible to conditions such as image qualuity or format specified by an external client device 117.
