The slip ring brush has a circuit board (1) with opposing first and second (B) surfaces, a conducting track and a bore (1.21, 1.22) through both surfaces and a brush element (21). A connection is made between the brush element and conducting track by soldering. The method involves soldering the brush element so that the solder (3) passes from the second circuit board surface through the bore to the brush element on the first circuit board surface.
