<p>The invention relates to a ball-and- socket joint for a motor vehicle, especially for the chassis of a motor vehicle. Said ball-and-socket joint comprises a housing (1) provided with an opening and containing a bearing shell (5), and a ball pivot (4) comprising a ball (2) and a journal (3) and consisting of an electroconductive material. Said ball pivot is rotatably and pivotably mounted in the bearing shell (5) by means of the ball thereof, the journal (3) of said ball pivot protruding through the opening out of the ball-and-socket joint housing. An electrode (14) is arranged in the wall of the bearing shell (5), at a distance (Delta) from the ball (2), the electrode (14) and the ball (2) being electrically insulated from each other by means of the bearing shell (5). The wall also comprises at least two successive layers (12, 13) between the ball (2) and the housing (1), the electrode (14) being arranged between said two layers.</p> |
