The invention relates to new polypeptidic fragments comprising a variable domain of an immunoglobulin which comprises two heavy polypeptide chains and is devoid of light chains, wherein each heavy polypeptide chain is capable of recognizing and binding an antigen. The invention also relates to a humanized immunoglobulin polypeptidic fragment comprising a variable domain of an immunoglobulin which comprises two heavy polypeptide chains and is devoid of light chains, said immunoglobulin originating from a camelid, wherein in said polypeptidic fragment, amino acid residues are replaced by human amino acid residues.
