PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire molding method capable of always properly setting the splice quantity of the sheetlike member wound around a molding drum. SOLUTION: The thickness of the sheetlike member 1 wound around the molding drum 20 is measured and the proper length of the sheetlike member 1 next wound around the molding drum 20 is calculated on the basis of the measured thickness of the sheetlike member 1, the outer diameter of the molding drum 20 and a predetermined splice quantity to control the interval between the molding drum 20 and a transfer drum 21 so as to become the calculated proper length. By this constitution, the sheetlike member 1 next wound around the molding drum 20 can be wound so that the splice quantity always becomes proper and the correction caused by splice abnormality or the occurrence of a bad product can be certainly prevented.
