PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing a nano-sized emulsion particle, and a skin care preparation for external use containing the nano-sized emulsion particle particularly excellent in effects such as antioxidation, bleaching, control of skin wrinkles, moisture retention of skin, keratin elimination, protein synthetic effects depending on the kind of a physiologically active ingredient contained in the nano-sized emulsion particle, since the stability of the physiologically active ingredient is also enhanced when the physiologically active ingredient is contained in the nano-sized emulsion particle. SOLUTION: The method stabilizes the emulsion particle having several to several tens of nanometer size produced using one or more kinds of polyglycerol fatty acid esters as emulsifiers through the use of a polyoxyethylene carboxylate of formula (1) as a stabilizer. The skin care preparation for external use contains the nano-sized emulsion particle. Further, usage of the skin care preparation for external use includes a cosmetic excellent in age stability, and widely expands the usages for not only the cosmetic field but also various kinds of technical fields such as medicines, food products.
