PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve noiseproof property and communication accuracy by mounting a light receiving element on a preamplifier so as to shorten the wiring between them. SOLUTION: A preamplifier 8 for amplifying the output of a light receiving element 7 is provided in a substrate 2 of a package 1. Further, an insulating ceramics plate 14 is provided on the preamplifier 8, and the light receiving element 7 is mounted on the ceramics plate 14. Consequently, it is made possible to shorten wiring 18, 20 between the light receiving element 7 and the preamplifier 8 so as to prevent gathering a signal noise or the like in the position of wiring. Moreover, since the preamplifier 8 can be allocated in the center position surrounded by a capacitor 16 and electrodes 4, 5 for the connection to the outside, it is made possible to shorten wiring 17, 19, 22, and the like which are connected to these, so that the noiseproof property can be improved.
