WRITE ONCE TYPE INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a write once type information recording medium capable of performing recording and reproduction of information having high density and performance of a satisfactorily practical level using a laser beam having a short wavelength such as a blue laser beam.

SOLUTION: In the write once type optical disk 28 provided with a transparent resin substrate 20 on which a concentric or spiral groove 21 is formed and a recording film 24 formed on the groove 21 on the transparent resin substrate 20 and containing an organic dye, a recording mark is formed by irradiation with the laser beam having the short wavelength. The light reflectance of a recording mark part formed by irradiation with the laser beam having the short wavelength is set so as to be higher than the light reflectance of the part at the time before being irradiated with the laser beam having the short wavelength and the groove 21 is set so as to be wobbled in a prescribed amplitude range.
