PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radiographic contrasting composition for CT suitable for use in X-ray CT, particularly multislice CT scan, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The radiographic contrasting composition for X-ray CT comprises a liposome having a lipid membrane, and the liposome contains a phospholipid and at least one compound selected from sterols, glycols, and polyalkylene oxide-modified phospholipids in the lipid membrane, and the aqueous phases inside and outside the lipid membrane contain an iodine compound and a pharmaceutical auxiliary. In the preparation of the liposme, a method for using supercritical carbon dioxide capable of efficiently encapsulating the iodine compound in the liposome substantially without using an organic solvent is used. When the radiographic contrasting composition is intravenously administered, even on and after several tens of minutes, theΔCT value (the CT value from which the CT value before injection is deducted) is high in the liver, or the like.
