PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window ventilating device for draining dew condensation water produced on the indoor side face of a sash window or rainwater intruding therefrom to prevent the flow into an indoor side even when taking an arrangement for preventing the blow of the rainwater into the indoor side. SOLUTION: A horizontal frame material 4 constituting a window portion 2 (the sash window) of a curtain wall is formed with a vent hole 7 having an outdoor side opening 7a and an indoor side opening 7b. On the horizontal frame material 4, a ventilation cover 8 is mounted so that an intermediate portion of the vent hole 7 in the direction of an indoor outside can be opened/closed. A drain portion 9 is formed near the indoor side of the vent hole 7 beyond the ventilation cover 8 in the closed condition. Even when the intermediate portion of the vent hole 7 in the direction of the indoor outside is put into the closed condition by the ventilation cover 8, the sash window ventilating device drains from the drain portion 9 rainwater flowing from the indoor side opening 7b.
