PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NC data compiling system for a universal processing machine capable of facilitating the data compilation of the main program without lowering the operation rate of the universal processing machine. SOLUTION: The NC data compiling system prepares and compiles the main program on a CAM terminal unit 3 provided separately from the universal processing machine. This allows maintaining well the operation rate without requiring the processing machine being stopped. According to this system, it is only required to prepare sub-programs complying with turning and/or milling using a conventional CAD/CAM system, enter the sub-programs through the screen solely in the sequence of processing, and prepare the main program by entering requisite parameters. Accordingly a processing pattern judging means 16 judges the processing pattern to suit the main program on the basis of the judging conditions and then a data compiling means 17 performs automatic compilation of the main program by reflecting the parameters on the processing pattern, and it is possible to facilitate the data compilation.
