<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can reduce the adhesion of ink. <P>SOLUTION: An SMB table T2 is equipped with a first table T2a and a second table T2b of different densities. An image processing circuit generates binary data in a gradation number conversion process by comparing data of the second table T2b of the low density with a gradation value, and determining a dot size and the presence or absence of dot formation at a region which includes four sides of printing paper. Accordingly, an amount of clear ink to be discarded outside of the printing paper is lessened, and a deposition amount of the clear ink to an ink absorbing material is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
