PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a recording medium from wrapping around an output nip section of a fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device to fix the toner images T1, T2 on a recording sheet medium P has rollers 1, 2, 3, 4 consisting of pairs of fixing rollers and pressure rollers and a pressure belt 5 wrapped around the 2nd and 4th pressure rollers of the above roller 1, 2, 3, 4 arranged in the direction the recording medium P runs. In the roller pair arranged at the entrance side, the surface temperature of the 1st fixing roller 1 is set higher than the surface temperature of the 1st pressure roller 2. In the roller pair arranged at the output side, the surface temperature of the 2nd fixing roller 3 is set lower than the 2nd pressure roller 4.
