PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling performance of a primary shaft and a crankshaft of a continuously variable transmission connected to the crankshaft via a centrifugal clutch. SOLUTION: This power transmission device has the crankshaft 12 rotatably installed in a case, and the primary shaft 33 coaxially arranged with the crankshaft 12. The centrifugal clutch 35 is installed between the crankshaft 12 and the primary shaft 33. The crankshaft 12 is supported by the case on the outside of balance weight parts 12a and 12b. A clutch drum 36 of the centrifugal clutch 35 is fixed to an inside end part 76 of the primary shaft 33. The inside end part 76 of the primary shaft 33 is supported in the case by a bearing 81 for a first transmission, and an outside end part 79 of the primary shaft 33 is supported in the case by a bearing 82 for a second transmission. The primary shaft 33 is rotatably supported in the case by the inside end part 76 for fixing the clutch drum 36 to the outside end part 79. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
