<p>A suction lift/lower assembly (2) loads or unloads items of freight (1) to or from a container, warehouse rack or similar, and releases the item for onward movement. The suction pads move in the X- and Z-planes and are supported by a jacking mast (12.1) which inclines in the X-plane under control from the cylinder (13).
