<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently manufacturing a MnZn based ferrite in which the growth of crystal of the ferrite particle is suitably carried out and magnetic characteristics such as magnetic permeability are improved. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the MnZn based ferrite has the steps of: adding ≤800 ppm (excluding 0 ppm) of bismuth compound expressed in terms of Bi<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and ≤800 ppm (excluding 0 ppm) of molybdenum compound in terms of MoO<SB>3</SB>as trace component raw materials to be added to a main component raw material containing each compound of iron, manganese and zinc to obtain a raw material mixture; and firing the raw material mixture by providing an oxygen zone having ≥20% oxygen concentration for 30 min so that the remaining quantity of bismuth oxide and molybdenum oxide after firing is decreased to ≤30% of the quantity thereof to be added in the raw material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
