<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To play back a content after confirming that a person who plays back the content is the purchaser of the content and that conditions of its playback meet terms of a contract. <P>SOLUTION: The content purchased from a content provider via a communication network, the licensing conditions for playback and identification note information sent at the same time are stored in an HDD. For playback, the ID of the content to be played back, the method of playback, and identification information are inputted.
