PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a piezoelectric vibrator capable of securing electrical conduction and a bonding force with a lead while preventing a piezoelectric element from being bonded resulting in the production of a rejectable product touching a sealing tube. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric vibrator comprises an insulating material, two or more metallic leads penetrating the insulating material, a metallic header surrounding the peripheral part of the insulating material, and a piezoelectric element held between the metallic leads and secured thereto by a bonding member. A recess in the surface of the insulating material between the metallic leads for securing the piezoelectric element is coated with a filling member and flattened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
