METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALUMINA STRUCTURE, AND ALUMINA STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an alumina structure capable of enhancing the quality of an alumina structure by which a cost reduction due to simplification of a manufacturing process is made possible and the reduction of en environmental load is obtainable and to provide the alumina structure having the high quality.

SOLUTION: Plastic body for the alumina structure is prepared by kneading alumina raw material powder containing at least 1mass% hydraulic alumina powder forming a hydrate by a hydration reaction and water. An alumina formed body is manufactured by forming the prepared plastic body for the alumina structure to a prescribed shape and the alumina structure is obtained by drying/firing the manufactured alumina formed body.
