PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile fiber mat damping sound energy by consuming the energy as frictional heat when sound passes through open-cells while colliding with them, and having excellent sound absorbing performance. SOLUTION: The automobile fiber mat comprises: a skin layer; a polyethylene backing formed on a back surface of the skin layer; and a foam sound absorbing material made from a foam forming element lined on the back surface of the backing. As the foam forming element, an additive having activating components for increasing dipole moment amount in a base resin is combined by a ratio of 10 to 200 pts.wt. for the base resin 100 pts.wt.
