PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communication)-based on-vehicle communication device from reporting that communication has failed if no communication has been made with a roadside device compatible with applications other than those for ETC.
SOLUTION: A conventional ETC roadside device sends a BST (Beacon Service Table) that includes only an AID (Application ID) and no information on EID (element ID) and parameters, and an on-vehicle device identifies the EID only on the basis of the AID; roadside devices operating on other applications cannot be identified, and when the roadside device stops communication, a report that communication has failed could be made. A program shown in the figure is executed to make it possible to identify even EID and parameter information and specify the application of the on-vehicle device. If communication does not end normally at the time when the communication ends, a report that communication cannot be made is made only when the applications match.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
