PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a separation efficiency of an oil while preventing the generation of loading on a coarse granulated element 16 in an after separating chamber 5, when separating the oil in a water to be treated by two stages by passing through two stages of a coarse granulated element 9 in a front separating chamber 4 and the coarse granulated element 16 in the after separating chamber 5. SOLUTION: This oil separator is equipped with a filter 20, wherein the water to be treated, flowing from the front separating chamber 4 to the after separating chamber 5, is filtered with a filter element in the filter 20.
