PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crushing and classifying apparatus with simple structure and with superior classifying and discharging efficiency of fine powder. SOLUTION: The crushing and classifying apparatus is provided with a rotary rotor 14 projecting treating objects to a collision member by centrifugal force and crushing the treating objects by collision, and a classifying pipe 8 connected to a side wall of a housing 4, and discharging fine powder together with a whirling gas flow generated in the housing 4 by the rotation of the rotary rotor 14. On a horizontal plane passing through an intersection P1 of a pipe axis of the classifying pipe 8 with a connection part inner face of the side wall, when an angle between a straight line m passing through a rotation axis O1 of the rotor 14 and the P1, and the pipe axis of the pipe 8 at the intersection P1 isθ1, theθ1 is set to 30-90°.
