PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lockable manhole cover which can be easily mounted in a receiving frame only by falling the cover into the receiving frame even if a manhole cover body is small in size and light in weight. SOLUTION: The manhole cover is formed of the annular receiving frame 2 having an engaging portion 2d formed on an inner periphery thereof, and an aperture 2a formed therein, a crowbar insertion aperture 4d into which a crowbar B is inserted from above, and the manhole cover body 4 having a lock member 5 rotatably mounted on a lower surface thereof, for blocking the aperture 2a of the receiving frame 2. The lock member 5 has a blocking cover 27 at an intermediate portion thereof, for blocking the crowbar insertion aperture 4d from below, and a claw member 28 rotatably mounted at the tip thereof. When the manhole cover body 4 is supported by the receiving frame 2 so as to block the aperture 2a, the claw member 28 is located below the engaging portion 2d. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
