PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isolator which is small in size, and exerts a sufficient soundproofing effect against noises in a wide frequency range from a low frequency to a high frequency. SOLUTION: The isolator (10) is arranged on an upper edge of a soundproof wall (2), and comprised of a low-frequency soundproof section (10L) and a high-frequency soundproof section (10H). The low-frequency soundproof section is formed of a horizontal bottom portion (14), a horizontal ceiling (12), a plurality of low-frequency resonant chambers (22L) which are partitioned from each other by vertical walls (20) connecting between the bottom portion and the ceiling, and partition walls, and openings formed in the ceiling and communicating between the low-frequency resonant chambers and the outside. The high-frequency soundproof section is formed of a bottom portion (16) at least partially inclined, and a plurality of high-frequency resonant chambers (22H) partitioned from each other by the vertical walls erected on the inclined bottom portion, and the partition walls, and having no ceiling.
