FIELD: mechanical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ventilation and air conditioning systems for vehicle cabins and/or rooms of stationary objects and is designed for cleaning air from harmful impurities. Proposed air cleaner designed for cleaning air from gaseous impurities contains unit built into ventilation system and consisting of ultraviolet radiation source and photocatalytic element in form of at least one packet, both arranged in housing. Packet of photocatalytic element is made up of separate thin-walled plates with two-side longitudinal projections on their surfaces arranged at a distance for relative contact by tops in adjacent plates of packet to form channels for passing cleaned air. Novelty is that two-side projections of each plate in packet are made in form of rigid ribs, triangular in section, tilted at angle to on-coming flow of cleaned air and intersecting in space relative to each other at opposite sides of plate. Plates in packet are installed with possibility of intersection of ribs of adjacent plates. Projections can be made in form of fan-like arms diverging on one side of plate and converging on the other side. ^ EFFECT: improved efficiency of air cleaning, provision of resistance of packet of photocatalytic element to vibration loads, reduced labor input in manufacture. ^ 2 cl, 5 dwg |
