PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a screen printer which can be downsized and speeded up, and which enables a squeegee support to reciprocate in a high-speed and low-noise manner by using a squeegee holding frame slightly longer than a stroke of the squeegee support. SOLUTION: This screen printer comprises the squeegee holding frame, a squeegee holder for supporting the squeegee which is slidably mounted on the squeegee holding frame, and a squeegee holder actuator for sliding the squeegee holder. The squeegee holder actuator as a linear motor, which constitutes the screen printer, is composed of a pair of stators which are mounted on both the side parts of the squeegee holding frame, a pair of forcers which are fitted with both ends of the squeegee holder, each traveling on the pair of stators, and a control circuit for making the pair of forcers reciprocate.
