PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character string extraction apparatus improved to reduce labor for inputting a character string by a user. SOLUTION: The character string extraction apparatus is provided with a first character string presentation means 303 presenting a first character string being a keyword for extracting the character string from an information source. A character string conditions presentation means 304 presents fixed conditions satisfied by the character string. When the user instructs a combination of the first character string and at least one fixed condition satisfied by the character string presented by the character string conditions presentation means 304, a combination presentation means 301 presents the combination. A second character string presentation means 305 extracts a second character string including the combination character string presented by the combination presentation means 301 from the information source and presents the second character string.
