PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a latent heat exchange membrane capable of mainly exchanging water vapor while leaving a temperature as it is as much as possible. SOLUTION: This latent heat exchange membrane is provided with a heat insulation substrate 3 having a plurality of moisture permeable holes 2; and a hydrophilic organic polymer membrane 4 arranged so as to partition the moisture permeable holes 2. The hydrophilic organic polymer membrane 4 comprises a synthetic resin 5 represented by the formula. The hydrophilic organic polymer membrane comprising an ethylene-styrene random copolymer (hydrophilic sulfonated polymer), i.e., the synthetic resin represented by the formula is highly moisture permeable and has a high latent heat exchange ratio. Namely, the hydrophilic organic polymer membrane does not utilize capillary condensation by a fine pore as in the case of paper material but is an electrolytic membrane and has high moisture permeability not seen in the conventional one by diffusion of moisture content in a hydrophilic ion channel of a micro structure.
