PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device, in which requirements to an exhaust device in an internal combustion engine are satisfied, while securing noise eliminating effect more than in conventional devices. SOLUTION: Between a pair of catalyst carriers CT1 and CT2, a volume body V1 is provided having an extended part ED on the upstream side to be connected to a flow restrained part RT downstream of the catalyst carrier CT1 on the upstream side, and a flow restrained part RD on the downstream side to be connected to an extended part ET upstream of the catalyst carrier CT2 on the downstream side so as to compose an extended noise eliminating mechanism. Especially, the volume body may preferably be provided between the catalyst carrier disposed close to the internal combustion engine EG and the catalyst carrier disposed downstream of it.
