<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly determine a proper price in regard to the ordering of a component or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The estimation support system 1 is provided with an in-company estimation system 11, and a material ordering system 12. In a design department terminal 13, estimation condition information for estimating a cost of an order object is inputted from the design department terminal 13, a primary estimate is obtained from the in-company estimation system 11, and an estimation request is registered in the material ordering system 12. The material ordering system 12 sends estimation request information and the estimation condition information to a supplier via a network, it receives generated estimation information via the network, and it compares an in-company primary estimated amount with an estimated amount from the supplier.
