<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder capable of satisfactorily reducing an effort for sliding a cassette without enlarging the device and increasing costs, and an image forming device with the same. <P>SOLUTION: At an underside of a sheet feeding cassette 6, a protrusion 6a is formed along the sliding direction of the sheet feeding cassette 6 over the whole opposing area to a supporting member for supporting the sheet feeding cassette 6 from the lower side. Furthermore, a plurality of protrusions oriented orthogonal to the sliding direction of the sheet feeding cassette 6 is formed on the upper surface of the supporting member. Thus, the supporting member 60 and the sheet feeding cassette 6 come into almost point contact with each other so that fiction resistance in sliding the sheet feeding cassette 6 can be significantly reduced. Accordingly, the sheet feeding cassette 6 can be slid by a small amount of effort, and device enlargement and cost increase also can be more satisfactorily avoided than in the case where a roller or the like is attached. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
