PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a urinal capable of positively detecting a urinal user and having an automatic flushing function free from malfunction. SOLUTION: This urinal has a urinal body having a bowl part wall surface 4 receiving urine flow, an upper wall surface 6 extending forward from the upper end of a bowl part 2, a drain port 8 and a trap line 10; a microwave sensor 14 arranged on the back side of the upper wall surface to radiate microwave obliquely downward to the front and to receive the reflected wave of the microwave; a control means 16 for controlling wash water for washing the bowl part based on a detection signal of the microwave sensor; and a water discharging means 18 for discharging wash water to the bowl according to a control signal. The microwave sensor is positioned so that a part of the radiated microwave is absorbed into the bowl part wall surface and attenuated.
