PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance productivity of a board for a display device without increasing manufacturing cost, even when the board for the display device is manufactured, using a substrate made of a metallic material. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a board for a display panel provided with a metal substrate 100; and gate electrodes 106 and source electrodes 111 which are arranged in matrix on the metal substrate 100, is disclosed, wherein in the process of cutting a first and a second cutting parts of the metal substrate 100, cutting is carried out, in such a manner that the projecting direction of burrs 8a and 8b produced at the first and the second cutting parts aligns in either one of the thickness directions of the metal substrate 100.
