PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an independent power supply in which the lifetime of a storage battery is prolonged through prevention of overcurrent charging and stabilization of charging, and failure of an external load can be prevented by notifying shutdown of discharge due to overdischarge in advance. SOLUTION: Lifetime of a storage battery can be prolonged by altering the method for charging the storage battery with power generated from solar cells or a windmill depending on the voltage of the storage battery thereby preventing overcurrent charging and stabilizing the charging.
