PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an environmentally-friendly high performance photoreceptor having a function equivalent to or higher than that of a conventional one without using a halogen-containing solvent as a solvent used for forming a photosensitive layer by coating. SOLUTION: The above problem is solved by using as a binder resin a PPE (polyphenylene ether) resin in which at least one of terminals binds to a carbon atom of a methylene group.
