PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-shrinkable biaxially orientated film of a polylactic acid which shows a superb mechanical strength and not only appropriate heat- shrinking characteristics in the biaxial direction but also a presentable appearance after heat shrinkage and excellent printability. SOLUTION: This biaxially orientated film is made of a polylactic acid resin and the polylactic acid resin is constituted of an L-lactic acid and a D- lactic acid in the ratio of (the L-lactic acid)/(the D-lactic acid)=100/0 to 94/6 (mol%). The coefficient of heat shrinkage in the longitudinal and the crosswise direction of the film at 80°C is 6% or lower and the coefficient of heat shrinkage at least in one direction of the longitudinal and the crosswise direction of the film at a temperature 10°C lower than the melting point of the film, is 30% or higher. In addition, the coefficient of heat shrinkage in the longitudinal and the crosswise direction of the film at said temperature falls within the range of 0.6 to 1.5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
